WOMEN'S TENNIS DEFEATS UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER 5-4
Rochester, N.Y. - Sabrina Megali (East Rochester, N.Y.) and Nicole Beaubriand (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) won their singles matches and teamed for a doubles victory as Le Moyne opened the 2007 portion of its schedule with a 5-4 win at Rochester.
In the women's defeat over Rochester, the Dolphins took the lead with four singles wins.
Sabrina Megali (East Rochester, N.Y.) was the only Le Moyne player to win her singles match in only two sets. While Tirzah Walrath (Cortland, N.Y.) stays unbeaten in singles as she wins in three sets. Nicole Beaubriand (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Hanna Renna (Minoa, N.Y) also each won in three sets.
Megali and Renna came away with the only doubles win out of the three matches for Le Moyne with an 8-3 victory over Rochester.
The Dolphins return to action on March 17 against Stonehill.
