WSOC: LE MOYNE RALLIES FOR 2-1 NORTHEAST-10 WIN AT NEW HAVEN
West Haven, N.Y. - Junior forwards Christina Harrison (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) and Megan O'Shea (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) each scored in the final 12 minutes of regulation to lead the Le Moyne College women's soccer team to a 2-1 comeback win at New Haven in Northeast-10 Conference action on Tuesday at Kayo Field.
Following a scoreless first half, the Chargers broke deadlock in the 74th minute on Selina Moylan's 12th goal of the season. After a shot by Emily Buckley-Matura hit the post, Kristen Espanola delivered a through ball to Moylan, who scored from 18 yards out.
Just over four and a half minutes later, O'Shea knotted the score at one apiece with her sixth goal of the season. Following a foul on New Haven, freshman midfielder Rachel Farneti (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) lofted the free kick towards the goal, where O'Shea headed the ball into the back of the net for the equalizer.
With just 2:56 remaining in regulation, Harrison put the Dolphins ahead with her team-high ninth goal of the season and third game-winner of the campaign.
