DOLPHINS FALL AT MERRIMACK, 4-2, IN NORTHEAST-10 ACTION

North Andover, Mass. - Junior Christina Harrison (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) scored a pair of goals, but Merrimack defeated the Le Moyne College women's soccer team, 4-2, in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Warrior Field.

Harrison gave the Dolphins an early 1-0 lead at the 2:52 mark as she lofted the ball into the net from the side of the penalty box.

The Warriors responded by tallying three goals over a 21 minute span midway through the opening half. Jackie Vickers knotted the score at one apiece at 10:26 on a feed from Gabrielle Gramprey. Less than nine minutes later, Jessica Peacock headed in a corner kick from Caitlin Hall and Kerri Domohowski for a 2-1 lead. Gramprey completed the first half's scoring with her 10th goal of the season on a breakaway off a feed from Vickers.

Harrison brought the Dolphins within a 3-2 score with her team-high eighth goal of the season with 17:12 remaining with a header off an assist from Riane Fletcher (Lisbon, N.Y./Lisbon). Merrimack capped the scoring in the 84th minute as Jessie DeGraan scored off a rebound.

Merrimack held a 14-12 edge in shots in the contest, while also registering a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks. Senior goalkeeper Amanda Abbatiello (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) recorded five saves in between the pipes for the Dolphins, while Shannon Rowan registered five saves for the Warriors.

Le Moyne (6-4-1, NE-10 3-4-1) returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at New Haven at 4:00 p.m.
