FLETCHER SCORES TWO, LE MOYNE TOPS PACE AND MOVES TO 6-2
BRIARCLIFF, NY- Freshman Riane Fletcher scored two goals as the Dolphins defeated Pace 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon. With the victory, Le Moyne moves to 6-2,3-2 in conference play on the year.
Le Moyne got on the board early as Kaitlyn Brown scored off a
feed from captain Jackie Rossi in the third minute. Riane Fletcher
would put the Dolphins up 2-0 in the 36th minute to close out the
scoring for the opening half.
In the second half, Le Moyne's Caitlin O'Rourke would give the
Dolphins a three-goal advantage, netting a score in the 60th
minute. The Setters would avoid the shutout as Kimberly Ludewig
scored in the 87th minute on a loose ball in front of the net. The
Dolphins would answer right back, capping the scoring on the day
just 26 seconds later as Fletcher would score her second goal of
the day.
In net for the Setters, Alexa D'Agostino went the distance,
recording eight saves, while allowing four goals. For Le Moyne,
Amanda Abbatiello also played the entire game, posting six saves
and allowing one goal.
