MARISA RIVERSO NETS FIRST CAREER GOAL, DOLPHINS CRUISE TO A 2-0 VICTORY OVER ASSUMPTION
WORCESTER, MA - Sophomore Marisa Riverso netted her first career goal in the fifth minute of the game as the Dolphins shutout the Assumption Greyhounds 2-0. With the victory, Le Moyne moves to 7-2, 4-2 on the season and one game shy of tying the eight-win mark of 2006.
The Dolphins jumped out to a quick 1-0 advantage as Riverso converted off a corner kick to net the Le Moyne's first goal. Christina Harrison would notch her fifth goal of the season from the foot of Megan O'Shea to give the Dolphins a 2-0 advantage going into halftime.
Junior goalkeeper Amanda Abbatiello would record six saves in goal as she registered her second shutout of the season.
Le Moyne is next in action on Tuesday, September 25th as they play host to Bryant at 4:00 PM at the Niland Athletic Complex.
