O'Shea nets goal in fourth straight game while Dolphins remain perfect with 3-1 victory over American International

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Megan O'Shea scored her fourth goal in four games as Le Moyne opened Northeast-10 Conference play with a 3-1 win at American International. The Dolphins move to 4-0 (1-0 NE-10) while the Yellow Jackets fall to 2-2 (0-1 NE-10) on the season.

Freshman Riane Fletcher scored with time winding down in the first half of action, turning a Dolphins corner kick into her second goal of the 2007 campaign. American International evened the score following a tally by Joanne Germano, but senior Jacki Rossi scored the eventual game-winner on a penalty kick. O'Shea added her team-leading fourth goal on a breakaway to secure the win for the Dolphins.

In the season's first four games, the Dolphins have distributed offensive and defensive wealth evenly, netting seven first-half and seven second-half goals while surrendering only one goal in each half of play. Goalkeepers Jessica Cochol and Amanda Abbatiello have registered shutouts between the pipes.

Le Moyne christens its home portion of the 2007 season as they host Stonehill at noon on Saturday. The game precedes men's action, as Le Moyne hosts Merrimack at 2:30 p.m. - Mike Bersani
