LE MOYNE FORWARD CHRISTINA HARRISON NAMED TO NSCAA NEW ENGLAND REGION SECOND TEAM
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Le Moyne College freshman women's soccer forward Christina Harrison (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) has been named second team all-New England Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Harrison scored seven goals and assisted on two more for 16 points in 15 games this season.
Harrison and Franklin Pierce midfielder Shona Franklin are the
only two freshmen to earn a spot on one of the two all-region
teams. In fact, the pair are the only two that are not juniors or
seniors.
Harrison, the first Le Moyne College women's soccer player to be
named first-team all-Northeast-10 Conference, netted her seven
goals in the first six games of her collegiate career. She scored
twice against Molloy in the season opener and tallied scores
against Southern Connecticut, UMass Lowell, Bentley, Pace and
Assumption. She handed out assists in wins over Molloy and
Bentley.
Le Moyne (8-8-1, 6-7-1 Northeast-10), finished eighth in the Northeast-10 Conference to qualify for the postseason for the first time since 2000.
