MEG TURLEY HAS HAND IN BOTH GOALS AS LE MOYNE WOMEN'S SOCCER BLANKS ROBERTS WESLEYAN 2-0

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Sophomore Meg Turley (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) had a hand in both goals as Le Moyne stopped Roberts Wesleyan 2-0 in a non-conference women's soccer match at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex. The Dolphins (8-5) improve to 6-1 at home this season, while Roberts Wesleyan (11-3-1) has its unbeaten streak snapped at eight straight.

Le Moyne scored once in the first half and added an insurance goal in the second half. Turley accepted a forward pass from sophomore Jocie Jankowski (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) and chipped a shot past Roberts Wesleyan goalkeeper Jackie Murphy for her first goal of the season and the only goal the Dolphins would need in the 14th minute. Freshman Megan O'Shea (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) converted a feed from Turley with 18:23 remaining for her sixth goal of the season.

Sophomore goalkeeper Amanda Abbatiello (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) made one save for her fifth shutout of the season. Murphy stopped 10 shots between the pipes for Roberts Wesleyan. Le Moyne outshot its guests 23-7 and was granted a 13-4 edge in corner kicks.

Le Moyne returns to Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday at Saint Anselm.
