LE MOYNE WOMEN'S SOCCER REMAINS PERFECT AT HOME, ABBATIELLO MAKES NINE SAVES TO LIFT DOLPHINS PAST SAINT MICHAEL'S 2-0

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Sophomore goalkeeper Amanda Abbatiello (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) made eight of her nine saves in the second half to lead Le Moyne past Saint Michael's 2-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer match at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex. The Dolphins (7-3, 6-3 Northeast-10) are 5-0 at home this season.

Freshman Megan O'Shea (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) headed home Le Moyne's first goal 12 minutes into the contest. O'Shea made a dangerous move into the offensive zone to force a corner kick. Freshman Courtney Paddock (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Baldwinsville) angled the ensuing corner kick in front of the Saint Michael's goalmouth. O'Shea hopped above a Saint Michael's defender to redirect her fifth goal of the season.

Less than five minutes into the second half, Mary Barrett (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) took advantage of a drawn out Saint Michael's netminder to chip in an insurance goal for the Dolphins.

Le Moyne's two goals were its only shots on target. Saint Michael's outshot its hosts 12-8. Gillian Goldman allowed one goal in the first half and Molly Cole gave up the second half goal for Saint Michael's.
