LE MOYNE WRAPS UP SEASON WITH 11-10 VICTORY OVER MARIST; MCCARTHY LEADS ‘PHINS WITH 3 GOALS & 2 ASSISTS.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The fifteenth season of Le Moyne College women’s lacrosse came to a close on Sunday as the Dolphins topped Marist 11-10. The win improves Le Moyne to 12-5 on the year which ranks in a tie for third in program history for most wins in a season. Freshman Mia Valletta’s goal from Michelle Lissner with 10:23 remaining proved to be the game winner as the Dolphins held the Red Foxes scoreless over the last 12 minutes of the game. [more]

FAIRFIELD NIPS LE MOYNE 17-13 TO SNAP DOLPHINS EIGHT GAME WINNING STREAK

FAIRFIELD, CT – The Le Moyne College women’s lacrosse team dropped their first game in over a month falling to Fairfield 17-13 on Friday night. The loss marks the first defeat to the hands a member of the MAAC since 2005. The Dolphins fall to 11-5 on the season despite three goals and one assist from junior Lisa McCarthy. Fairfield was led by Kristen Coleman’s five goals and one assist. [more]

DOLPIHNS WIN EIGHT IN A ROW DROPPING IONA 8-4 ON SENIOR DAY.

SYRACUSE, NY – The Le Moyne College women’s lacrosse team improved to 11-4 on the season by defeating Iona (6-9) 8-4 on Sunday. The win was the eight straight win for the Dolphins. Whitney Vecchio and Michelle Lissner led Le Moyne with three goals and one assist each as the Dolphins celebrated Senior Day. [more]

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women’s lacrosse team cruised against Manhattan College, 20-8, at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex behind a program-record 15 first-half goals. The victory extends the Dolphins’ (10-4) winning streak to seven games while the Jaspers’ (5-4, 0-2 MAAC) losing skid hits four games. [more]

LE MOYNE NOTCHES SIXTH STRAIGHT VICTORY WITH 15-5 WIN OVER CANISIUS

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women’s lacrosse team pushed its win streak to six with a 15-5 victory over Canisius College at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex. Rebekah Elmer, Kylie Rosette and Whitney Vecchio finished with hat tricks for the Dolphins (9-4). The Golden Griffins (6-6, 1-0 MAAC) were led by Ashley Gray and Brett Poissant, who scored two goals apiece. [more]

WHITNEY VECCHIO SCORES SIX GOALS TO LEAD DOLPHINS TO A 16-6 VICTORY OVER NIAGARA.

BUFFALO, NY – Senior Whitney Vecchio scored six times and dished out two assists in leading the Dolphins to a 16-6 victory over Niagara on Friday. The win marks the fifth straight win for the Dolphins and improves their record to 8-4 on the season. Niagara falls to 2-4 with the loss. [more]

DOLPHINS WIN FOURTH STRAIGHT USING 10 SECOND HALF GOALS TO TOP SIENA 13-4.

Loudonville, NY – The Le Moyne College women’s lacrosse team outscored the Siena Saints 10-2 in the second half to secure their fourth consecutive victory on Tuesday. With the win, Le Moyne improves to 7-4 on the year. Siena falls to 2-6 on the season. [more]
