AMANDA KEEGAN SCORES SIX GOALS AND DISHES OUT SIX ASSISTS. LE MOYNE IMPROVES TO 5-0 IN THE MAAC DEFEATING MANHATTAN 20-4.

EASTCHESTER, NY. - The Le Moyne women's lacrosse team moved to 5-0 in the MAAC by defeating Manhattan 20-4 Sunday. The Dolphins have won their last eight games, improving their record to 11-4 on the season. The Jaspers fall to 3-10, 2-3 in conference.

Amanda Keegan (Marcellus, NY/Marcellus) tallied six goals and six assists to lead the Dolphin attack. The 20 goals by Le Moyne mark the highest offensive production of the season.  Whitney Vecchio (Watertown, N.Y./General Brown), Kylie Rosette (Watertown, N.Y. /General Brown) and Molly Yaman (Homer, N.Y./Homer) chipped in by scoring three goals apiece.

Le Moyne jumped out to a six goal lead on Amanda Keegan's second goal of the game. Manhattan broke through on an unassisted goal by Jillian McGowan. The Dolphins struck for four more goals, taking a 10-1 lead into halftime. The Dolphin offense continued their hot play in the second half, going on a 7-1 run to begin the second half.

The Dolphins defense bounced back from Friday's game against Iona where they allowed 14 goals, their highest total of the season. Le Moyne held Manhattan to only four goals on 20 shots. Samantha Falcone (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) picked up her eleventh win of the season as she recorded six saves.

Le Moyne will return to action on Friday, April 20th as the Dolphins host Marist at the Niland Athletic Complex.  The game is set to start at 4:00 p.m.
