WOMEN'S LACROSSE: LE MOYNE LOOKS TO STAY UNDEFEATED IN MAAC LEAGUE PLAY WHEN THEY HOST SIENA ON THURSDAY

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The Le Moyne women's lacrosse team look to add on to their current four game win streak when they host the Saints of Siena College on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex.  The game will be televised locally on Time Warner Sports 26. Siena will enter the game with a 3-6 record, however the Saints are undefeated in MAAC league play beating the likes of Niagara University and Canisius College. Le Moyne comes in with a 7-4 record winning four straight games after coming off a three losing streak. The early "roller coaster-like" season for the Dolphins hopefully has subsided especially with the onset of the array of MAAC games in store for Le Moyne over the next couple weeks.

Last year's contest between the two teams was a seesaw battle the entire way. Le Moyne was able to pull out the victory with a game-winning goal by then freshman Lisa McCarthy with 35 seconds left in regulation.  Le Moyne went on to finish 15-4 overall and a perfect 7-0 in MAAC league play last year while Siena finished 2-15 overall and were winless in MAAC league play with a record of 0-7.

The battle between Siena and Le Moyne will definitely display some true star power. The game features MAAC Defensive Player of the Week (Week of April 2nd) Le Moyne goalkeeper Samantha Falcone and MAAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week Siena attackmen Ryan Tierney. In addition to Tierney, Siena has other offensive weapons that should prove to impact the outcome of the game. Lindsey Rosecrans is Siena's team leader in points with 32, while Christina Pamplone has 24 points of her own on the season. For Le Moyne, Kylie Rosette leads all scorers with 37 points, while Amanda Keegan and previously mentioned Lisa McCarthy have combined for 52 points of their own.

The key for Thursday's game will be the play of Le Moyne goalkeeper Samantha Falcone, who currently ranks 23rd nationally in Goals Against Average. If she can continue her dominant play between the pipes, then she will nullify the offensive prowess that Siena's trio of Rosecrans, Tierney and Pamplone are sure to bring to Thursday's game.
