SAMANTHA FALCONE AND KYLIE ROSETTE NAME DEFENSIVE AND OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Le Moyne Women's Lacrosse team's trip to California resulted in two wins and two MAAC weekly honors. Juniors Samantha Falcone (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) and Kylie Rosette (Watertown, N.Y./General Brown) have been named the defensive and player of the week from the MAAC Conference. This is Falcone's second consecutive week of receiving this honor.
Samantha Falcone (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) made 20 saves in a 2-0 week for Le Moyne. Falcone posted a 6.16 goals against average as Le Moyne topped UC Davis (12 saves) and St. Mary's (8 saves) to complete its trip to California's Bay Area with a 2-1 mark.
Kylie Rosette (Watertown, NY / General Brown) has scored six goals and assistsed on six more in Le Moyne's 2-0 week. In a win over UC Davis, Rossette scored four goals and had three assists. In another win over St. Mary's, she scored two goals and added three assists.
The defending league champion Dolphins will travel this weekend
to play Long Island University on Friday, March 9 at 4 p.m. and
Monmouth University on Sunday, March 11 at 1 p.m. to try and
improve their 2-1 record.
