KYLIE ROSETTE TALLIES FIVE POINTS, DOLPHINS ROLL TO 18-7
VICTORY
MORAGA, CA - Junior Kylie Rosette
(Watertown, N.Y./General Brown) scored two goals and
assisted on three others as Le Moyne scored the first seven goals
of the game en route to a 18-7 win over St. Mary's in a
non-conference women's lacrosse game at Miramonte High School.
Sophomore Lisa McCarthy (Syracuse, N.Y./West
Genesee) added three goals and an assist to help the
Dolphins improve to 2-1 in its trip to California.
McCarthy had a hand in the first three goals of the game. The
first came on McKenzie Gray's (Baldwinsville,
N.Y./Baldwinsville) goal two and a half minutes into the
game. She then tallied the next two goals to give the Dolphins a
3-0 lead 5:37 into the contest. P.J. Hainley ended Le Moyne's 7-0
run with a goal at the 15:41 mark of the first half. The Dolphins
tallied five of the last eight goals of the half to take a 12-4
lead at intermission.
Le Moyne scored four of the first five goals of the second half to
jump out to a game-high 11 goal lead after Stephanie
Donegan (Syracuse, N.Y./Corcoran) scored unassisted at the
42:11 mark to make it 16-5. The Gaels scored two of the final three
goals to deliver the final score of 17-7.
Junior goalkeeper Samantha Falcone (Syracuse, N.Y./West
Genesee) recorded eight saves against six goals allowed in
53 minutes in the cage to register her second victory of the
season. Gael goalkeeper Hilary Gardner stopped two of 11 shots in
the first 18:04, with Sara Jo Rodriguez recording three saves in 11
shots on goal.
The Dolphins return to action Friday, March 9th at Long Island
University.
