Le Moyne College womens lacrosse seniors Kristin Kawzenuk and Elizabeth Sierotnik have been named to the Intercollegiate Womens Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll for the 2008 season. The selection marks the second consecutive year Kawzenuk and Sierotnik have been honored by the IWLCA for their academic achievements. To qualify, student-athletes must have reached at least junior year status and achieve a minimum GPA of 3.2.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. Whitney Vecchio, the points leader for the 2008 edition of Le Moyne College womens lacrosse, was picked to the IWLCA Northeast Region Second Team. Ranked second on the colleges all-time points list, she joins a select group of 128 student-athletes from across Division I womens lacrosse honored by the IWLCA.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY The fifteenth season of Le Moyne College womens lacrosse came to a close on Sunday as the Dolphins topped Marist 11-10. The win improves Le Moyne to 12-5 on the year which ranks in a tie for third in program history for most wins in a season. Freshman Mia Vallettas goal from Michelle Lissner with 10:23 remaining proved to be the game winner as the Dolphins held the Red Foxes scoreless over the last 12 minutes of the game.

FAIRFIELD, CT The Le Moyne College womens lacrosse team dropped their first game in over a month falling to Fairfield 17-13 on Friday night. The loss marks the first defeat to the hands a member of the MAAC since 2005. The Dolphins fall to 11-5 on the season despite three goals and one assist from junior Lisa McCarthy. Fairfield was led by Kristen Colemans five goals and one assist.

SYRACUSE, NY The Le Moyne College womens lacrosse team improved to 11-4 on the season by defeating Iona (6-9) 8-4 on Sunday. The win was the eighth straight win for the Dolphins. Whitney Vecchio and Michelle Lissner led Le Moyne with three goals and one assist each as the Dolphins celebrated Senior Day.
