The Dolphins, who scored their most points in a season-opener since an 80-67 win at Mercyhurst on November 17, 2007, opened the game with the first eight points and never had less than a six-point lead the remainder of the game. Marple and Greer connected on three-pointers on Le Moyne's first two possessions and Brown followed with a jump shot. After Sanders made a lay-up for the Redhawks, Greer nailed another three-pointer as the Dolphins made their first four shot attempts.

After Roberts Wesleyan closed within 22-14 with 12:39 left on a three-pointer by Emily Piacentini, the Dolphins rattled off 15 of the game's next 18 points over a span of 4:26 to open up their first 20-point lead of the game. McKnight buried consecutive three-pointers to start the streak, junior forward Tessa Pucello (Syracuse, N.Y./Solvay) followed with a jumper and then McKnight knocked down a 25-foot three-pointer to beat the shot clock for a 33-15 lead. Following a Roberts basket, Marple made two free throws and McKnight converted a lay-up for a 37-17 advantage.

Following a McKnight jumper with 6:44 remaining that gave the Dolphins a 39-19 lead, the Redhawks closed out the half with 12 of the last 14 points to pull within 10 at the intermission. Sell had three baskets and a free throw around a three-pointer by Lakiah Huff, while Sanders ended the scoring with a jumper with 26 seconds left.

After Sanders opened the second half's scoring with a jumper, Le Moyne ran off 22 of the next 27 points. Marple had 14 points in the span on three lay-ups, a pair of three-pointers and two free throws, while Greer made three lay-ups and graduate student guard Kayla Stroman (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy/Niagara) hit a jump shot.

Following a Jenna Johnson three-pointer that made the score 65-43, the Dolphins got lay-ups from Brown, Marple and Greer to open up their largest lead of the game. The teams then traded baskets over the final four minutes to deliver the final score.

Le Moyne (1-0), which posted its largest margin of victory since a 61-33 win over Felician on December 21, 2007, opens its home schedule on Wednesday against Daemen College at 7:00 p.m.
