Worcester, Mass. – Five players scored in double figures to lead Assumption College to an 85-48 win over the Le Moyne College women's basketball team on Monday night in Northeast-10 Conference action at Laska Gymnasium.

Freshman forward Maggie Brown (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) was the only Dolphin to reach double digits with 10 points, while grabbing a team-high six rebounds.

Jamie Insel and Gabrielle Gibson led the Greyhounds with 15 points each. Caitlin Ackerman came off the bench to post 12 points and six rebounds, while Sabrina Siciliano and Katy Howard each scored 10 points.

The Greyhounds opened the game with the first 10 points and kept the Dolphins off the scoreboard until Brown made a jumper at the 14:52 mark. Howard nailed a pair of three-pointers for six of the 10 Assumption points.

Assumption followed with 17 of the next 21 points to take its first 20-point lead at the 9:40 mark. Ackerman accounted for eight of the points, while Gibson had four, Marissa Velez connected on a three-pointer and Shannon Ray made a lay-up.

The Dolphins answered with 10 of the next 15 points to cut their deficit to 16 with 5:30 remaining in the half. Brown had eight of the points, while senior guard Torie Lee (Fayetteville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) had the other two on a lay-up.

Le Moyne tallied nine of the next 11 points to get within 27 with 10:13 left, but that's as close as the Dolphins would get. Assumption answered with a 12-3 run over the next 3:51 to put the game away. Insel scored the first five points, while Cullerot capped the run with a three-pointer.

The teams traded points over the final 4:40 to deliver the final score. Price had four of Le Moyne's final seven points, while Ann Marie Idusuyi and Insel each had three of Assumption's last eight points.
