WAGONER MAKES WOMNE'S BASKETBALL ALL- ACADEMIC
TEAM FOR THIRD YEAR IN A ROW
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. –Le Moyne’s
Kimberly Wagoner, a senior from Cicero, NY has been named to the
Northeast-10 Conference Women's Basketball All-Academic first-team.
This is Wagoner’s third year on the All-Academic team. The
Northeast-10 Conference All-Academic teams are chosen by a vote of
the league's Sports Information Directors.
Wagoner, in four seasons has become the program's 13th 1,000-point
scorer. She was named to the Northeast-10 Conference all-rookie
team as a freshman. Through nine games, Wagoner led the Dolphins in
scoring at 13 points per game. Currently averaging 2.3 steals, 2.9
rebounds, and one assist per game. She also has a free-throw
average of 82.4 percent.
To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student
athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum
requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team’s
competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2)
achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and
3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current
institution. The Northeast-10 All-Academic Teams are chosen by a
vote of the Northeast-10 Sports Information Directors.
Le Moyne is currently 9-10 overall this year and 6-9 in the NE 10
conference. They will host Stonehill on Saturday, February 2nd at
1:00 p.m. at Ted Grant Court.
