DOLPHINS FALL TO ST. ANSELM 74-63; PRECIOUS LEADS WITH 12 POINTS

Manchester, N.H. - Le Moyne's Jacquelin Precious led the Dolphins with 12 points and Courtney Coryea chipped in with a double-double, but it wasn't enough as St. Anselm defeated the Dolphins 74-63 on Saturday. The Dolphins fall to 3-2, 2-2 on the season while the Hawks improve to 2-3 and claimed their first NE-10 victory this season.

With the Dolphins claiming a three point first half advantage, the Hawks took the lead after a three-pointer from Erin Higgins tied it up at 34-34 just 10 seconds into the second half. Rachel Reilly scord two of her game high 23 points to give the Hawks the 36-34 lead, a lead which Saint Anselm did not relinquish for the rest of the game.

Le Moyne went on a 5-0 run to bring the score back to 64-61, thanks to a three-pointer from Kim Wagoner and a layup by Katie Dunn, with just 1:27 to play. After Carleen Orawsky made four straight free throws, the Hawks took a comfortable seven point lead with less than a minute to play. The Hawks went a perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line in the closing two minutes of the game.

Leading the way for the Dolphins was Jacquelin Precious  with 12 points, while Courtney Coryea  had 10 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Danielle Felice also played well with 10 points and five assists.

Reilly led the Hawks with 23 points going 8-for-12 from the floor and Justine Lyons picked up 20 points going perfect from the floor at 6-for-6.  Orawsky had 10 points to go along with seven rebounds.

Le Moyne returns to the hardwood on Tuesday, February 4th when they travel to take on Franklin Pierce at 5:30 PM
