LE MOYNE MOVES TO 2-0 WITH 69-58 VICTORY OVER ST. ROSE

ALBANY, NY – Sophomore Courtney Coryea led the Dolphins with 22 points and eight rebounds as the Dolphins (2-0,1-0) defeated St. Rose (1-1,0-1) 69-58 at the Nolan Gymnasium in the NE-10 opener for both schools. A balanced offensive attack led Le Moyne to their second win of the season with four Dolphins in double figures.

The Dolphins jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first half on the sharp shooting by freshman Danielle Felice who connected on two three-pointers in the first twenty minutes of play. The Golden Knight would close the gap to four at the half closing with a 12-3 run.

A jumper by Vanessa Holden would give Le Moyne a ten point advantage at 46-36. As in the first half, St. Rose would charge back to pull within three points at 51-48 with five minutes to play.

Le Moyne would pull away for good in the next four minutes on the back of a 13-4 run. St. Rose’s Emily Gottstein led all scorers with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Kim Wagoner and Vanessa Holden joined Felice and Coryea in double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Le Moyne returns to action on Sunday, November 25th as the Dolphins host Southern New Hampshire at 1:00 PM at Ted Grant Court.
