SISTER ACT LEADS SHARP-SHOOTING FRANKLIN PIERCE PAST LE MOYNE 69-54 IN NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

RINDGE, N.H. - Jennifer Leedham scored 19 points and her younger sister Johannah Leedham scored 14 to lead Franklin Pierce past Le Moyne 69-54 in a Northeast-10 Conference women's basketball game at FPC Fieldhouse. Franklin Pierce improves to 13-5 overall and 9-4 in league action, while Dolphins drop to 6-11 overall and 2-10 in Northeast-10 Conference action.

Senior Lindsay Ellis (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) scored a season-high 14 points to pace the Dolphins. Sophomore Katie Dunn (Whippany, N.J./Morris Catholic) chipped in 10 points to join Ellis in double figures. Ellis made 4-of-6 from the field and converted 6-of-8 from the free throw line for her team high point total. The Dolphins hit only 17-of-47 (36.2%) from the field, but continued their league-best effort from the free throw line where they hit 17-of-21 (81%), including 16-of-19 in the second half.

Jennifer Leedham drilled two 3-pointers, 6-of-13 from the field and 5-of-7 from the free throw line for her game-high point total. Franklin Pierce hit 9-of-11 (81.8%) from 3-point range in the game and all six of its long-range shots in the second half. Overall, the hosts made 23-of-41 (56.1%) from the field for the game and 11-of-18 (61.1%) in the second half.

Le Moyne scored the first seven points of the game, but Franklin Pierce roared back with an 11-2 run to take the lead 11-9 on Megan McIntyre's layup eight minutes into the contest. The Ravens pushed their first-half lead as high as nine and took a 30-22 lead into the break.

The Dolphins scored the first seven points of the second half - mimicking the game's opening run - and took a 36-35 lead on a Kim Wagoner (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) jumper with 14:10 remaining. Franklin Pierce rattled off the next 13 points to take a 50-38 lead on Jennifer Leedham's jumper with 9:10 left. The final 15-point margin marked the Ravens' biggest lead of the game.

Le Moyne returns to action on Saturday at Bryant. Tip time is set for 1:30 p.m.
