WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: SAINT ROSE OVERCOMES LE MOYNE 64-55 IN NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE OPENER

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Lauren Revesz and Courtney Ludwig scored 15 points each to lead Saint Rose past Le Moyne 64-55 in the Northeast-10 Conference women's basketball opener at Grant Court. The Golden Knights (3-0, 1-0 Northeast-10) have opened the season with three consecutive wins, while Le Moyne (2-2, 0-1 Northeast-10) has dropped its last two contests.

Saint Rose landed four players in double figures. Emily Gottstein scored 13 points off the bench and Linsey Onishuk added 12 to join Ludwig and Revesz in double figures. Ludwig's first two points of the game marked the 1,000th points of her career. Saint Rose used a 52-36 rebounding advantage to overcome 23 turnovers. The Golden Knights made 19-of-50 (38.0%) from the field and just 22-of-42 (52.4%) from the free throw line.

Junior Kim Wagoner (Cicero, N.Y./C-NS) led Le Moyne with 16 points. She made 10-of-12 from the free throw line as the Dolphins hit 17-of-24 (70.8%) for the game. Senior guard Lindsay Carr (Bronx, N.Y./Preston) and freshman forward Courtney Coryea (Mooers Forks, N.Y./Northeastern Clinton) scored 10 points each.

Saint Rose led by as many as 11 points in the opening half and took a 26-22 lead into the intermission. The Golden Knights kept the lead throughout the second half, holding off several Le Moyne charges. The Dolphins used a 9-0 run to trim their deficit to two points (39-37) on a Wagoner jumper with 11:53 remaining. After Saint Rose extended its lead to double digits, Le Moyne chipped its deficit to three points at 52-49 on a Vanessa Holden (Suffern, N.Y./Immaculate Heart) layup with 3:52 remaining. The Golden Knights closed out the game with a 12-6 run to secure their third win of the season.

Le Moyne hosts Southern New Hampshire on Sunday at 1 p.m.
