DOLPHINS CLAIM VICTORIES OVER STONEHILL AND ROBERTS WESLEYAN
SYRACUSE, NY - The Le Moyne College volleyball team claimed two victories on Saturday with at five match win against Stonehill and a straight set win over Roberts Wesleylan. With the two victories, the Dolphins improve to 10-14, 4-4 in the NE-10 Conference.
In their first match of the day, Le Moyne dueled with Stonehill for five games. The Dolphins prevailed by the score of 31-29, 21-30, 30-22, 28-30, 15-7. Sophomore Elizabeth Cheek led the way with 24 kills, five aces and 29 digs. Le Moyne freshman Krista Prentice added 20 kills while Kaylin Brainerd dished out a career high 68 assists.
Le Moyne returned to take on Roberts Wesleyan and cruised to the 3-0 victory. Cheek once again led the way offensively with 16 kills, while Prentice added 11 kills. Freshman Amanda Kershner tied her career high with eight kills.
The Dolphins return to action on Sunday, as they host Bryant in Northeast-10 Conference play at noon.
