VOLLEYBALL: LE MOYNE SPLITS CONFERENCE PAIR
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After taking a
morning contest with Stonehill in four, the Le Moyne volleyball
team dropped an evening contest at Merrimack in three games. The
Dolphins topped Stonehill 31-29, 30-25, 27-30, 30-24 in the opener
and dropped a 30-25, 30-23, 33-31 decision at Merrimack. Le Moyne
moves to 16-8 overall and 6-5 in Northeast-10 Conference
action.
In the opener, freshman Jodi Smith (Angola, N.Y./Eden) notched 13
kills to pace Le Moyne in the opener. Senior Lindsey Fattey
(Lancaster, N.Y./St. Mary’s) added 11 kills. Senior libero
Amanda McClure (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning West) chipped in 23
digs. Jody Hammond (Bloomfield, N.Y./Bloomfield) and Emily
O’Hara (Altamont, N.Y./Guilderland) landed eight kills each
and O’Hara contributed six blocks. and junior Julie McLaud
(Pine Bush, N.Y./Pine Bush) announced her return to the lineup with
41 assists.
Smith and Hammond landed 13 kills each in the setback at Merrimack.
McLaud dished out 40 assists and McClure collected 20 digs.
Le Moyne travels to Bentley tomorrow for its final road contest of
the regular season.
