LE MOYNE'S SARAH REED EARNS NE-10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS.

SOUTH EASTON, MASS -Le Moyne senior Sarah Reed earned NE-10 player of the week honors with her exceptional all around play. The senior helped lead the Dolphins to an undefeated 8-0 week with her performance on the field. Reed led the Dolphins with a .581 batting average with two home runs, five doubles, and seven RBI's. The senior also went 4-0 in the circle, posting a 0.31 ERA through 22.2 innings. In her start against Merrimack Reed threw a no-hitter.

Through 46 games, Reed leads all Dolphins with off the chart numbers in batting average (.475), runs (47), hits (77), doubles (23), tied with (3) triples with teammate Bailey Phillips, home runs (7), RBI's (49), total bases (127), and slugging percentage (.784). The senior is currently fielding a .964 fielding average. In the circle, the senior has posted a 2.28 ERA, with a 12-2 record. Through 79.2 innings Reed has struck out fifty batters. Nationally Reed ranks in the top 100 in six categories. Her most impressive ranking is her 4th place ranking with doubles per game (.47).

First basemen Emma Murphy (Sr., 1B, East Syracuse, N.Y.) and pitcher Jenna Vanacore (Fr., SP, Hicksville, N.Y.) have also showcased their athletic abilities this week earning a spot on the weekly honor roll. In an 8-0 week for Le Moyne, Murphy batted .433 with one home run, two doubles and 12 RBI's. She connected for 13 hits and scored eight runs, while slugging .600. Vanacore compiled a 2-0 record for the Dolphins in four appearances. She posted a .76 ERA through 18.1 innings of work and allowed six hits and two earned runs, while striking out 22 batters faced. Vanacore also recorded a save against Merrimack

The Dolphins currently top the Northeast ten with the number one seed heading into the NE-10 playoffs. The Le Moyne College softball team clinched their second consecutive NE-10 regular season title with a doubleheader sweep of UMass-Lowell on Sunday. The Dolphins have won 17 consecutive games and 33 of their last 35 games. Le Moyne improves to 38-8, 25-1 in the NE-10. The Dolphins last game of the season against Bentley was postponed. A make-up date is pending.
