JENNA VANACORE EARNS NE-10 FRESHMAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE TIME THIS SEASON

South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne College Freshman Jenna Vanacore (Hicksville, N.Y.) was named Softball NE-10 Freshman of the week for March 31, 2008

On Monday March 24th, Vanacore pitched a perfect game as the Dolphins faced Molloy in a double header sweeping them 10-6 and 9-0. In her seven innings of play Vanacore struck out 11 of 21 batters and allowed no hits.

Vanacore is currently 3-0 for the season with a 2.58 ERA. Leading the team in strikeouts (35) Vanacore averages a strike out per inning. Vanacore has appeared in seven total games including five starts and three complete games

Join the Dolphins for their home opener as they host American International College Saturday April 5th at 1 pm and Pace Sunday April 6th at noon. The Dolphins are currently 13-7 overall and are 2-0 in the NE-10 conference.
