SARAH REED AND BAILEY PHILLIPS EARN WEEKLY SOFTBALL HONORS FROM NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - Le Moyne College junior Sarah Reed (DeWitt, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) and freshman Bailey Phillips (Rochester, N.Y./Greece-Arcadia) have earned weekly accolades from the Northeast-10 Conference. Reed was named the conference pitcher of the week, while Phillips earned top freshman honors.

Reed went 2-1 with a 2.30 ERA in four appearances (three starts). She struck out 10 and allowed 16 hits in 21.1 innings of action. Reed tossed a three-hit shutout in a 2-0 win over regional rival C.W. Post. Reed was named to the all-tournament team at the Florida Gulf Coast Tournament as a utility player. For the season, Reed is 2-3 with a 4.20 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 30 innings.

Phillips, a second baseman, started all eight games for Le Moyne in the 3-5 week. She hit .273 with six hits in 22 at-bats. For the season, Phillips is hitting .233 in 12 games (11 starts).

Le Moyne, the No. 8 team in the NFCA Division II coaches poll, went 4-9 in its season-opening trip to Florida. The Dolphins return to action March 17 at Holy Family University in Philadelphia.
