In the season-opening action, Christophersen was 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA and eight strikeouts in three relief appearances, one start and 11.2 innings. Christophersen, a first-time recipient of the conference pitcher of the week honor, picked up a win with two innings of two-hit ball in an 8-6 win over Florida Tech.

VanGorder hit .273 (3-for-11) with one run scored and had four RBI in a 1-4 week. She knocked in three runs in an 8-6 win over Florida Tech and had a pair of hits in a setback to Rollins.
