SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - Defending regional champion Le Moyne (1-4) has not started the 2007 softball season the way it would have hoped, but the efforts of three individuals have been honored by the Northeast-10 Conference. Senior Kristen DesLauriers (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, junior Caylinn Christophersen (Norwich, N.Y./Norwich) was named the top pitcher and freshman Danielle VanGorder (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) claimed top freshman honors.

three runs scored, two RBI, and a .714 slugging percentage in a 1-4
weekend at the Eckerd Triton Invitational. Went 2-for-3 with two
runs scored and a double and a home run in an 8-6 win over Florida
Tech.
In the season-opening action, Christophersen was 1-1 with a 3.00
ERA and eight strikeouts in three relief appearances, one start and
11.2 innings. Christophersen, a first-time recipient of the
conference pitcher of the week honor, picked up a win with two
innings of two-hit ball in an 8-6 win over Florida Tech.
VanGorder hit .273 (3-for-11) with one run scored and had four RBI
in a 1-4 week. She knocked in three runs in an 8-6 win over Florida
Tech and had a pair of hits in a setback to Rollins.
The Dolphins, ranked eighth in the preseason National Fastpich Coaches Association Division II poll, return to action in a doubleheader on Tuesday night at Palm Beach Atlantic. Le Moyne is scheduled for eight more games on its spring trip to Florida.
