LE MOYNE COLLEGE FRESHMAN CAITLIN O'NEILL HONORED BY NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE
EASTON, MA - Freshman Caitlin O'Neill (Pittsford, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) has garnered top honors from the Northeast-10 Conference for her efforts in a 6-2 week. O'Neill was named the Player and Freshman of the Week after hitting .417 (10-24), scoring four runs, and driving in ten runs. She slugged .750 and posted a .440 on base average on three doubles, a triple and a home run.
In a doubleheader sweep of Stonehill, she went 2-for-6 with a double, two runs scored and two runs batted in. At Saint Michael's, O'Neill went 5-for-7, doubled, hit her second home run of the season, scored twice and drove in four runs. At Bentley, she was 2-for-6 with a triple, and two runs batted in,
For the season, O'Neill is batting .268, is second on the team with nine doubles and 27 runs batted in, homered twice, and has scored 20 runs.
The Dolphins (26-16, 18-8 NE-10) close out the regular season today against regular season champion Bryant at 2 p.m.
