LE MOYNE SOPHOMORE KORTNEY MEADOWS NAMED NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
EASTON, MA - Sophomore Kortney Meadows (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Softball Player of the Week. She hit .545 (6-11) in a 3-1 week. She scored five runs, doubled, homered and drove in five runs to lead the Dolphins' offense. She slugged .909 and posted a .643 on base average.
In a doubleheader sweep of Pace, she went 4-for-7 with a three-run home run. Her home run tied game two at four in the bottom of the fourth inning. Also singled home a run in the Dolphins' nine run fifth inning.
Against Southern Connecticut, she went 2-for-4 with three walks and two runs scored. Led off and scored in Le Moyne's four-run third inning that tied game two at four. Meadows scored the go-ahead run in the fourth inning for the Dolphins.
For the season, Meadows is batting .239 with 11 runs batted in, nine runs scored, and three doubles.
The Dolphins (13-9, 5-1 NE-10) head east on the thruway today to play a doubleheader against Saint Rose at 5 p.m. and travel to New England for six games over Easter weekend.
