LE MOYNE SOPHOMORE SARAH REED NAMED NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK FOR THIRD TIME THIS SEASON

EASTON, MA - Sophomore pitcher Sarah Reed (DeWitt, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Pitcher of the Week. It marks the third time this season that Reed has received top pitcher accolades.

Reed pitched nine scoreless innings in a doubleheader sweep of Assumption College on Sunday. She pitched two innings for the save in the opener and tossed a four-hit shutout in the nightcap to pick up her fourth win of the season.

On the season, Reed is 4-5 with a 0.78 ERA in nine starts. She has struck out 60 batters and allowed just 41 hits in 62.2 innings. Reed, the 2005 Northeast Regional MVP, leads the conference in earned run average (0.78) and opposing batting average (.181) and is third in the conference in strikeouts (60). She has not allowed a run over the last 23 innings (four appearances) and has not yielded an earned run in 38 and 1/3 innings (six appearances).

The Dolphins (10-8, 2-0 NE-10) host Pace on Saturday in a doubleheader set for noon and Southern Connecticut State in a Sunday doubleheader at 1 p.m.
