XC: MCANDREW, MICARONI & D'AMBRO PACE DOLPHINS AT THE BINGHAMTON INVITATIONAL

Binghamton, N.Y. - Senior Jake McAndrew (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) placed 12^th overall in field of 52 runners to pace the Dolphins to a 3^rd place finish at the 8 K Binghamton Invitational on Saturday. Sophomore Gina Micaroni (Blossvale, N.Y./Canastota) and freshman Emma D'Ambro (Schaghticoke, N.Y./Hoosic Valley) finished with identical times of 19:56 to place 10^th and 11^th respectively leading the women to a 3^rd place finish in the 5K race. Le Moyne was the lone Division II participant in the meet featuring Columbia, Binghamton and St. Bonaventure.

Columbia took home top team honors in both the men's and women's race. Binghamton's Chris Gaube earned top individual honors on the men's side with a time of 25:48.34 while Columbia's Jill Goodwin won the women's race with a time of 19:08.

On the men's side, Evan Oustrich (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico) placed 17^th with a time of 28:49.40, Nicholas Cutter (Housatonic, Mass. (Monument Mountain) finished 18^th in 30:14.28 and Patrick Micaroni (Blossvale, N.Y./Canastota) and Patrick Shaffer (Oswego, NY / Oswego) rounded out Le Moyne's top-five finishers finished 22^nd and 23^rd respectively.

Erin Hudson (Fulton, N.Y./Fulton) and Chelsea Gibson (Weedsport, N.Y./Weedsport) followed Micaroni and D'Ambro with times of 21:27 and 23:04 to place 17^th and 18^th respectively on the women's side. Sophomore Kaitlin Brondum (Cazenovia, NY / Cazenovia) rounded out the ‘Phins top-five with a time of 23:18 to place 20^th in scoring.

The Dolphins return action on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Mansfield University Invitational at 10:00 AM
