XC: MCANDREW AND D'AMBRO HONORED BY NORTHEAST-10
CONFERENCE
South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne cross country members Jake
McAndrew (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) and Emma D'Ambro
(Schaghticoke, N.Y./Hoosic Valley) have been honored by
the Northeast-10 Conference for their efforts this past week, as
announced by the conference office on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
McAndrew, a senior, was named the men's cross country athlete of
the week for his winning performance at the 5th Annual Golden
Knights Joust hosted by Saint Rose on Saturday. McAndrew completed
the five-mile course in 26:25 to outdistance his closest competitor
by 47 seconds in winning the race for the second consecutive
year.
D'Ambro, a freshman, was selected as the women's cross country
freshman of the week for her winning effort at the Golden Knights
Joust. D'Ambro completed the three-mile course in 19:18 to top the
59-member field in her first collegiate meet.
The Dolphins return to action on Saturday, Sept. 12 in Vestal,
N.Y. for the Binghamton Invitational.
