RYAN, DOLPHINS EARN
USTFCCCA WOMEN'S ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS

New Orleans, La. - Senior Kelsey Ryan (Warsaw, N.Y./Livonia) was named to the 2008 NCAA Division II USTFCCCA Women's All-Academic Team for cross country as announced by the association Wednesday. In addition to Ryan making the All-Academic team as an individual, the Le Moyne women's cross country team was selected to the 2008 NCAA Division II USTFCCCA Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team. The 12 runners combined for a 3.200 grade point average.

Ryan, a political science and psychology major with a 3.91 GPA, was previously recognized with Northeast-10 All-Academic honors for the third consecutive season. She registered four top-10 finishes as a competitor in all eight meets in her final collegiate season. Ryan closed out her career with a 10th-place effort at the Northeast-10 Championship and a ninth-place performance at the NCAA East Regional to earn Second Team All-Northeast-10 Conference honors and First Team All-Region accolades, respectively.

To qualify for All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have completed at least 12 semester/quarter hours through the semester of competition at the institution to be eligible. The student-athlete must have at least a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have placed in the top 30% of the total number of athletes eligible to compete at the respective regional championships, or in the top 50% of the field at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships.
