Men's Cross Country

DOLPHINS PLACE 6TH AT NE-10 CHAMPIONSHIPS, MCANDREW FINISHES 8TH OVERALL 

North Easton, Mass. - The Le Moyne College men's cross country team placed 6th in a field of 14 at the Northeast 10 Conference champsionships held on Sunday at the Stonehill campus. Jake McAndrew placed 8th overall among 133 runners and earned second team all-conference for his efforts.

The first six runners to cross the line were either a Skyhawk or a River Hawk and that led to a tie for the Northeast-10 Conference Cross Country Championship between host Stonehill and UMass-Lowell. Both teams finished with identical scores of 35 and were followed in third by Southern Connecticut (82), Bentley in fourth (134) and Bryant in fifth (171).

Patrick Stagnitta finished in 46th place for the Dolphins, while Pete Gratien placed 58th overall.

Steven DeWitt of UMass Lowell collected top honors by winning the event with a time of 25:07.7.  He was followed by teammate Ruben Sanca and Stonehill's Dave Metzger.
