WALTHAM, MA - The Bentley University men’s and women’s tennis teams recorded victories over Le Moyne College on Saturday. Bentley recorded all nine points on the men’s side while the women topped Le Moyne 7-2. Le Moyne’s lone victories came in #1 and #2 singles as Tirzah Walrath (Cortland, NY / Cortland) and Caroline Tisdell (Syracuse, NY / CBA) recorded straight-set victories.

Philadelphia, Pa. – Sophomore Dan Sullivan (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) won four singles matches in advancing to the finals to lead the Le Moyne College men’s tennis team at the ITA East Regionals at the weekend tournament on September 18th – 20th. On the women’s side, Tirzah Walrath (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) advanced to the “Sweet 16” in the Women’s “A” bracket.

Clinton, NY – The Le Moyne College men’s tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Hamilton College on Sunday in match held at the Gray Tennis Courts. Le Moyne’s lone victory came in #4 singles by sophomore Andrew Gleason (Gorham, Maine / Cheverus) with a straight-set decision over Coby Berman 6-2, 7-5.

SYRACUSE, NY – Senior Tirzah Walrath (Cortland, NY / Cortland) led the way for the Dolphins with victories in #1 singles and #1 doubles against St. Michael’s on Saturday in an NE-10 Conference match. Le Moyne fell to the Purple Knights to fall to 1-2, 1-1 in conference action. St. Michael’s captured their second conference victory in moving to 2-0 on the year.

SYRACUSE, NY – Just four days into the fall session of the 2009-10 season, the Le Moyne women’s tennis team claimed their first NE-10 Conference victory with a 5-4 decision over Merrimack on Saturday. In evening their record to 1-1, the Dolphins move to 1-0 in league play. The match was the first for the Warriors as they drop to 0-1 on the young season.
