MEN’S TENNIS DROPS SPRING OPENER AT ROCHESTER 8-1
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Le Moyne’s Men’s Tennis opened their Spring 2006 season with a 8-1 loss to the Rochester Yellowjackets at the Georgen Center courts on Tuesday. Six players took to the courts for Le Moyne. There was one singles winner; Jason Kersznouski.
Matt Kraukzyk was defeated, 6-2, 2-1, by Thanos Kantarelis at #1 singles. Stefan Putyera was defeated, 6-2,6-2, by Eric Hanson at #2 singles. At #3 singles Frank Donaldson was defeated by Aaron Gettinger 6-4, 6-3. Jeff Titcombe also came out on top, 6-4, 6-3, above LMC’s #4 singles Ryan Davidson. Kodi Kosmoski was defeated, 6-0, 6-1, by Michael Burger at #5 singles. Jason Kerznoski at #6 singles won, 8-6, against Neil Wickens.
Kraukzyk and Putyera filled the #1 doubles position and were defeated by Eric Prince and Josh Bruce-Black, 8-4. Donaldosn and Kosmoski also took a loss of 8-4 to Gettinger and Burger. Third doubles team of Davidson and Kesznouski took a loss of 8-6 to Titcombe and Jay Acharya.
