JOSH BYRNE NAMED NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE DIVER AND ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

South Easton, Mass. – Le Moyne College freshman Josh Byrne (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference men's diving athlete and rookie of the week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Byrne, honored by the conference as the diver of the week for the third time this season and as the rookie of the week for the second time, won all four diving events in Le Moyne's two meets last week. With the four victories, Byrne finished the dual meet portion of Le Moyne's schedule 11-0. He opened the week by topping the field in the one-meter diving event at Pace on Friday night with 272.10 points. He then was victorious off the three-meter board with 267.30 points. On Sunday against Southern Connecticut State, Byrne won both of the one-meter diving events. He tallied 189.60 points in the first event and 260.50 points in the second event.

Le Moyne returns to action at the three-day Northeast-10 Conference Championship, hosted by Southern Connecticut State, on Thursday, January 31.
