BYRNE AND O’DONNELL LEAD SWIMMING AND DIVING TEAMS AGAINST SAINT ROSE

Syracuse, N.Y. – Freshmen Josh Byrne (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) and Tara O'Donnell (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) won two individual events each, but the Le Moyne College swimming and diving teams fell to The College of Saint Rose on Saturday afternoon at the Rev. Vincent B. Ryan, S.J. Pool. The women were edged by the Golden Knights, 128-105, while the men fell 133-103.

With the two victories, Saint Rose takes the lead in the year-long "Upstate Challenge" between the institutions. Through eight of the 14 sports, the Golden Knights hold a 5-3 lead.

On the women's side, O'Donnell won a pair of individual events for the fourth straight meet, while teaming on a relay victory as well.
