DOLPHINS EARN NORTHEAST-10 SWIMMING AND DIVING WEEKLY HONORS

South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne College senior Zach Hisert (Amsterdam, N.Y./Amsterdam), sophomore Jerry Dumary (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) and freshmen Drew Acquaviva (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) and Katie O'Donnell (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) have garnered Northeast-10 Conference swimming and diving weekly honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Dumary, named the men's swimming athlete of the week for the third time this season, won three individual events and teamed on a relay victory in a 153-131 loss at Hamilton on Friday night. Dumary recorded individual first-place finishes in the 50-yard breaststroke in 28.86 seconds, the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:01.39 and the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:01.62. He also swam the second leg for the winning 200-yard medley relay team that finished in 1:38.33.

O'Donnell, honored as the women's swimming athlete and freshman of the week for the second consecutive week, won three individual events and was part of a relay victory in the 154-146 loss at Hamilton. O'Donnell, a three-time recipient as the freshman of the week and two-time athlete of the week, registered individual victories in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:00.18, the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.40 and the 200-yard IM in 2:13.04. She also swam the lead leg for the first-place 200-yard medley relay team that finished in 1:55.08 to open the meet.

Hisert, honored as the men's diving athlete of the week for the fourth time this season, won the one-meter diving event with a score of 257.80 in the 153-131 loss at Hamilton. He placed second in the three-meter diving event with a score of 182.40.

Acquaviva, named the men's freshman of the week for the second time this year, won a pair of individual events and teamed on a relay victory in the 153-131 loss at Hamilton. Acquaviva registered individual victories in the 50-yard backstroke in 25.69 seconds and the 100-yard backstroke in 54.53 seconds. He also teamed on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay squad that finished in 1:28.67.

Following nearly two weeks off, the women's team returns to the pool as the host of the UNYSCSA Championships from February 18-21. The Men's team returns to action the following week with the UNYSCSA Championships from Feb. 25-28.
