O'DONNELL GARNERS WEEKLY SWIMMING HONORS FROM NORTHEAST-10


South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne College freshman swimmer Katie O'Donnell (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) has been honored as the Northeast-10 Conference athlete and freshman of the week, as announced by the conference office on Monday, Feb. 2.

O'Donnell, named the conference's freshman of the week for the second time this season and a first-time recipient of athlete of the week accolades, won three individual events and teamed for a relay victory in the Dolphins' 162-138 loss to Ithaca on Saturday. O'Donnell, who previously earned freshman of the week honors on October 21st, placed first in the 100-yard backstroke in 59.87 seconds, won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:09.64 and topped the field in the 100-yard butterfly in a season-best time of 1:00.09. She also swam the anchor leg for the first-place 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished in a time of 3:44.80.

Following a meet at Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Le Moyne will host the UNYSCSA Championships later this month. The women will host at Nottingham High School beginning February 18th, while the men will host the following week, February 25th.
