RICKY CHIDSEY NAMED SWIMMER OF THE MEET, DOLPHINS FINISH FOURTH AT NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Sophomore Ricky Chidsey (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) won four individual events and was a part of three relays as he was named the Most Valuable Swimmer of the meet at the Northeast-10 Conference Swimming & Diving Championship. Le Moyne finished fourth at the event. Host Southern Connecticut State topped the team totals followed by Saint Rose, Bentley, Le Moyne, Bryant, Saint Michael's and Pace.
Chidsey set two meet records and posted four NCAA Division II ‘B' cut times in his four individual wins. He won the 50 free in 21.39, set a meet record with a 1:53.18 in the 200 back, won the 100 free in 46.95 and posted a meet record time of 51.32 in the 100 back.
Chidsey was also a part of three relay wins with Will Clayton (Chicago, Ill./Loyola Academy), Ryan Lowrie (Johnson City, N.Y./Johnson City) and Shawn Bankey (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee). The quartet swam a 1:38.15 in the 200 Medley relay, a 1:27.32 winning time in the 200 free relay and capped the meet with a 3:11.74 in the 400 free relay.
