MSOC: STEVE WHITE NAMED NORTHEAST-10 GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK FOR
THIRD TIME THIS SEASON
South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne College senior goalkeeper
Steve White (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) was named
the Northeast-10 Conference men's soccer goalkeeper of the week, as
announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
White, honored by the conference for a league-best third time this
season and the seventh time in his career, registered eight saves
and a 0.00 goals against average in Le Moyne's 1-0-1 week. White
turned aside three shots in the Dolphins' 1-0 win over Assumption
on Wednesday and made five saves in Le Moyne's 0-0 draw at Saint
Michael's on Saturday. White has posted three consecutive shutouts
and has not allowed a goal over his last 350:23 between the pipes.
For the season, White is tied for first in the conference in
shutouts with six and ranks second in the league in goals against
average (0.60), save percentage (.870) and saves (47). In seven
conference games, White has a conference-best five shutouts and has
posted a 0.55 goals against average and made 32 saves for a .889
save percentage.
Le Moyne (8-1-2, Northeast-10 5-1-1), which is unbeaten over its
last six matches (5-0-1), returns to action on Tuesday against New
Haven at 4:00 p.m.
