VIVIANO & CARR NET 1ST CAREER GOALS AS ‘PHINS TOP

Colchester, VT – Sophomore Joe Viviano (North
Syracuse, NY / CNS) and freshman Jesse Carr
(Skaneateles, NY / Skaneateles) netted their first career
goals to propel the Dolphins to a 3-1 victory over St.
Michael’s on Saturday. The win pushes Le Moyne to 6-2-2 on
the season, 4-2-1 in the NE-10. St. Michael’s falls to 4-5-1,
1-3-1 in conference action.
Vivano’s unassisted tally at the 13:09 mark of the first half
gave the Dolphins and early 1-0 advantage. Carr connected 2:06
later on a feed from Matt Pecheone (New Hartford, NY / New
Hartford) to push the Le Moyne lead to 2-0. The Dolphins
took a lead into halftime on the back of a 5-4 shot advantage.
Le Moyne struck quickly in the second period as freshma
Bryce Martin (Cazenovai, NY / Chittenango)
connected for his second goal in as many games from the foot of
Davide Dipaola (Rochester, NY / Greece Athena)
just 2:42 in the half. The Purple Knights got on the board in the
76-minute as Jared Berry (Barrington, RI / Barrington) converted on
a penalty kick coming from a Le Moyne hand ball in the box.
Junior Steve White (Cortland, NY / Cortland)
recorded one save on the day as the Dolphin defense allowed their
first goal in four games. Jason Brunett (South Burlington, VT / IMG
Academy) registered threes saves in defeat.
Le Moyne returns to action on Tuesday, September 30th as they host
Nyack in a non-conference affair at 3:00 PM.
