LE MOYNE EARNS BERTH INTO 2007 NCAA TOURNAMENT
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Le Moyne College men's soccer team earned its second NCAA Tournament berth in three seasons as they were granted the fourth-seeded in the New England Region. The Dolphins (14-3-2) will take on the region's top seed Franklin Pierce on Thursday, November 8th at 7:00 PM in Rindge, New Hampshire.
This will be the second time Le Moyne takes on Franklin Pierce this season. In their earlier meeting, the Dolphins tied the Ravens 1-1 on their home field.
Prior to 2005, Le Moyne's last berth in the NCAA tournament was in 1977.
Le Moyne enters the tournament winning five of their last six matches and 11 of their last 14. On Saturday, freshman Angelo Reina was named the NE-10 Co-Freshman of the Year. Brandon Morse and Mark Lukowiecki were named second-team all-conference, while Matt Pecheone earned third-team honors.
