LE MOYNE MEN'S SOCCER PLAYS TO 2-2 DRAW AT DOMINICAN
BLAUVELT, N.Y. - Eric Macias (Silver Spring, Md./Wheaton) and Brandon Oot (LaFayette, N.Y./Manlius Pebble Hill) scored goals as Le Moyne played Dominican to a 2-2 draw in a non-league men's soccer match. The Dolphins take an 8-5-2 record into a Saturday match at Southern N.H.
Le Moyne scored the only goal of the first half. With four seconds remaining in the opening half, Macias angled a corner kick into the net for his second goal of the season.
Early in the second half, Dominican took a 2-1 lead on goals from James Hamilton and Jhonny Arteaga. Hamilton scored the Chargers' first goal 3:16 into the half and set up the second goal 5:59 into the half.
Oot answered for Le Moyne with his fourth goal of the season. Senior Ryan Cunningham (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Baldwinsville) was credited with an assist on the goal which closed out the scoring with over 35 minutes remaining in regulation.
Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Steve White (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) made 10 saves for Le Moyne. Robert Kelly had three stops for Dominican. The host Chargers held a 23-10 advantage in shots and 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
