MATT PECHEONE NAMED NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Le Moyne College sophomore Matt Pecheone (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week. Pecheone scored the game-winning goal in Le Moyne's two wins for the week.
Pecheone broke a scoreless tie in the second half of a 1-0 win over Northeast-10 Conference opponent Saint Michael's and snapped a 2-2 deadlock in the second half of a 3-2 win over Nyack. He leads the Dolphins with eight goals and 17 points this season. Pecheone is tied for the league lead in goals scored and third in points.
Le Moyne (7-3, 5-2 Northeast-10) has won four consecutive matches. The defending Northeast-10 Conference Champion Dolphins enter Wednesday afternoon's 4 p.m. game at Saint Rose in second place - three points behind Southern Connecticut.
