LE MOYNE MEN'S SOCCER POSTS 2-0 SHUTOUT OVER BENTLEY, MOSWKA AND OOT SCORE FOR THE DOLPHINS
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Senior Rob Moskwa (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) scored in the opening half and Brandon Oot (LaFayette, N.Y./Manlius Pebble Hill) netted one in the second half as Le Moyne blanked Bentley 2-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference men's soccer match at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex. The Dolphins (5-3, 4-2 Northeast-10) have won two straight, while Bentley (4-3-1, 1-2-1 Northeast-10) sees its winning streak snapped at three straight.
Redshirt freshman Steve White (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) made three saves for his second shutout of the season. The Dolphins outshot their guests 18-12. Bentley played down one player for the final 21:19 and down two for the last 11:39. Bentley goalkeeper Derek DuBois made four saves in defeat.
A long throw-in from senior Josh Harrison (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) in the 11th minute helped set up Le Moyne's first score. Harrison flicked a throw-in from the right side toward the net where a Bentley defender kicked it away. Moskwa collected the deflection and knocked it home for his first goal of the season.
Nearly 77 minutes after the first goal, Oot dribbled through the undermanned Bentley defense and tucked an insurance goal into the corner for his third goal of the season.
Le Moyne hosts Nyack in a non-conference match on Thursday at 3 p.m.
