MEN'S SOCCER: #21 LE MOYNE REBOUNDS FOR 4-1 WIN OVER GOLDEY-BEACOM
NEW CASTLE, Del. - Abdulilah Al-Dubai (Syracuse, N.Y./Omar Bin Abdulaziz) scored two goals as No. 21 Le Moyne rebounded for a 4-1 win over Goldey-Beacom in a non-conference men's soccer match. Matt Pecheone (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford) and Ryan Vinciguerra (Syracuse, N.Y./Faith Heritage) also scored goals for the Dolphins (1-1). Le Moyne dropped its opener on Friday 3-1 to Wilmington.
The Dolphins scored two goals in the first five minutes of the contest. Pecheone finished off a feed from Eric Macias (Silver Spring, Md./Wheaton) to open the scoring 3:10 into the match. Vinciguerra knocked in a pass from Mark Lukowiecki (Edinburgh, Scotland/Queensferry) to make it 2-0 just 4:35 into Le Moyne's second match of the season.
Al-Dubai sandwiched his two goals in the second half around a Goldey-Beacom goal by Nick Kelley.
Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Steve White (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) made four saves for his first collegiate win. The Dolphins outshot Goldey-Beacom 34-10.
Le Moyne hosts perennial power Southern Connecticut State on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
