NYACK TOPS LE MOYNE MEN’S SOCCER 4-1
Nyack, N.Y. - Oswald Adu scored two goals to lead Nyack to a 4-1
win over Le Moyne in a non-conference men’s soccer match at
Nyack.
Junior Ryan Cunningham (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Baldwinsville) finished
off a cross from Josh Harrison (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt)
to open the scoring. It would mark Le Moyne’s only goal of
the game. The Dolphins were outshot 17-14.
Le Moyne (11-5-2) had allowed just one goal (an own goal, none
offensive) in the first half all season, but Nyack (9-5-3) scored
two goals in the opening half and tacked on two more in the final
45 minutes.
Senior goalkeeper Tim Mann (Silver Spring, Md./Paint Branch) made
eight saves for the Dolphins. Matt Andre made eight saves in the
victory for Nyack.
Le Moyne will enter the Northeast-10 Conference tournament with the
third seed. The Dolphins will host sixth-seeded American
International on Sunday at 1 p.m.
